The Clifton Park community mourns the loss of Brian Patrick Martell, co-founder of Druthers Brewing, who passed away at 43 on December 27, 2024, after a battle with leukemia.
A familiar face and beloved figure in the local scene, Brian’s impact extended far beyond the walls of the brewery, leaving a lasting impression on Clifton Park and the surrounding Capital Region.
Brian’s entrepreneurial spirit helped shape Druthers Brewing into a cherished gathering spot, including the Clifton Park location, where friends and families have enjoyed his passion for great food, craft beer, and a welcoming atmosphere. His creativity was evident in every detail, from the design of the space to the carefully curated menus that reflected his love for both culinary innovation and community.
A Saratoga Central Catholic High School and RPI graduate, Brian’s journey through life was marked by his dedication to family, friendship, and bringing people together. Whether sharing stories over a pint or organizing local events, his presence in Clifton Park will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
To celebrate his life and legacy, a gathering will be held at Druthers Brewing in Saratoga Springs on January 11 at 5:00 p.m. Friends, family, and community members are invited to honor Brian and the mark he left on Clifton Park and beyond.
