Clifton Park’s Ashdown Road is closed at the railroad crossing near Wayto Lane. The closure started on July 14, 2025, and will last through July 19, 2025. This work, led by Highway Superintendent Dahn Bull and the Genesee & Wyoming Railroad, aims to upgrade the crossing for smoother traffic and less vehicle damage.
Signs and detours are set up to guide drivers. These routes are the same as those used during the 2021 Ashdown Road Bridge replacement. A map of the detours is available on the town’s website.
The project should take five days but depends on weather. Thunderstorms with heavy rain are forecast, which could cause delays. Drivers should follow detours, allow extra time for commutes, and stay patient.
