Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how 3tone Digital, operating the Clifton Park Spark website and services (“Clifton Park Spark,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and retains information through cliftonparkspark.com and related forms and services.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
We may collect information you submit through contact forms, newsletter forms, comments, business-claim forms, listing correction or removal requests, advertising inquiries, checkout, and lead forms. This may include:
- name, email address, telephone number, and mailing or business address;
- business name, listing ID, role, website, category, hours, description, and other business details;
- logos, photographs, files, message content, campaign information, and verification material;
- selected subscription plan, transaction status, billing contact, payment-processor identifiers, and limited payment details such as card brand and last four digits; and
- lead-inquiry information that a visitor chooses to send to a listed business.
Form entries may be stored in our WordPress database and delivered to us or a listed business by email. Do not submit sensitive personal, financial, health, or confidential information through a general contact or lead form.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment-card and related billing information under its own privacy policy. Clifton Park Spark generally does not receive or store a complete payment-card number.
Directory information
We may collect and publish business information received from a business or representative, business websites, public records, publicly available sources, user submissions, and our own research. Business information displayed in the public directory is public and may be indexed or copied by search engines and other third parties.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location derived from IP address, date and time, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic or security information.
2. Google Analytics and Search Console
We use Google Analytics to understand visits, page activity, traffic sources, device and browser characteristics, and Site performance. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may receive information such as IP address, device identifiers, referring URL, and interactions with the Site.
We use Google Search Console to understand how the Site appears and performs in Google Search, including search queries, impressions, clicks, indexing, and technical issues. Search Console generally provides us with search-performance and diagnostic information from Google.
Google handles information under the Google Privacy Policy. Available controls may include browser cookie settings, Site cookie preferences, Google account controls, and Google’s opt-out tools.
3. Maps and location-related services
The Site uses Google mapping services and Leaflet to display business locations and interactive maps. Leaflet is the software library used to present certain map interfaces. When a map loads, Google or another configured map resource may receive technical information needed to deliver map content, such as IP address, browser or device information, map requests, and interactions.
If you choose to allow precise device location, the relevant map or browser service may use that location to provide location-based features. You can control location permission through your browser or device. Google’s use of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
4. How we use information
We may use information to:
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
- create, verify, correct, publish, suppress, and administer business listings;
- process subscriptions and provide paid listing features;
- build and maintain optimized business pages;
- route lead inquiries to the applicable listed business;
- respond to questions, requests, disputes, and support needs;
- send transactional messages, receipts, renewal or cancellation information, and service notices;
- send newsletters or marketing where permitted, with an unsubscribe option;
- understand Site traffic, search visibility, and performance;
- prevent fraud, spam, misuse, and security incidents; and
- comply with law and protect our rights and the rights of others.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information:
- to vendors that provide payment processing, website hosting, database storage, forms, email delivery, analytics, maps, security, backups, spam prevention, and technical support;
- to Stripe and payment-related providers to process and administer a subscription;
- to Google in connection with Analytics, Search Console, and mapping services;
- to a listed business when a visitor submits that business’s lead form;
- to professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors;
- when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or a lawful government request; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud; or enforce our agreements; and
- as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
Information you intentionally submit for publication, including business details and approved listing content, may be visible to anyone.
6. Lead forms and listed businesses
When you send an inquiry through a business lead form, we route the information to that business. The business is an independent recipient and is responsible for its own use, retention, security, and response. Review the business’s privacy practices before sending sensitive information. Clifton Park Spark is not responsible for a listed business’s later use of information it receives.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies for essential Site functions, preferences, analytics, performance, security, fraud prevention, embedded content, and mapping. You can use browser settings to block or delete cookies, although some Site functions may not work correctly.
If the Site displays a cookie-preference tool, the choices shown by that tool should control the categories described there. We periodically review our tracking tools and disclosures, but third-party services may change their technology or practices.
8. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, keep transaction and consent records, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent a removed listing from being automatically republished, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and enforcement obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and reason for collection.
9. Your choices and requests
You may:
- unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the message;
- request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted, subject to legal and operational exceptions;
- request correction or removal of a business listing through the Business Listing Correction and Removal Request form; and
- manage cookies and location access through available Site, browser, device, or Google controls.
Send privacy requests to info@cliftonparkspark.com. We may verify your identity or authority before acting. Laws in some jurisdictions may provide additional rights. We will honor applicable rights and will not unlawfully discriminate against a person for exercising them.
A request to delete personal information is different from a request to remove independently created news or editorial content. We may retain information where permitted or required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, transactions, disputes, or the exercise of legal rights.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, email transmission, payment system, or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can review and address it.
12. Third-party websites and embedded content
The Site may contain links, maps, videos, social posts, and other content provided by third parties. Those services may collect information independently and are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not control their privacy or security practices.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy by posting a revised version and changing the “Last updated” date. We will provide additional notice when required by law.
